It was perfect weather for a HeartSpace outing at the Weald and Downland Living Museum. We sat sunning ourselves on one of the first really warm springs days, whilst taking in the view of this special open air museum. We meandered down to the new cafe and learning centre where we met Gez, who drerssed in a Seventeenth Century outfit!
His talk began with interesting facts on how people lived what they wore and ate. Then he gave us a talk on wool, and how to card and spin, so that we could all then give it a try …. which was not easy, but it was good fun!
After such a great experience, we washed all this history down with tea and cake sitting beside the beautiful mill pond. All in all a wonderfully pleasant afternoon!
